image Mainly Mint Collection in a Binder, 1885 to 1959, all in black mounts plus a selection on cards, well represented, even if some stamps have been removed, there remains a lot of nice material, with complete sets, better items such as #1-4 ($237), 86-92 ($68), 159 ($65), 333 ($90), 295-300 ($78), etc. An excellent range of "B" stamps including B26-75 ($483), B99a (two copies, $100), B99a (six copies imperforate) and more. Other good back of the book includes for example #CB7-14 ($164), J28-38 ($70), etc. Overall fine to very fine, with a mix of hinged and never hinged and with a conservative owner's 2011 Scott catalogue value of $9,400. Group of Mint Souvenir and Miniature Sheets, 1967-2004, from Scott #611a to 1177 and B431a to B737, in quantities of one to eight of each (total of 259 sheets with 66 different). Most are mint and all are never hinged and catalogue value for these is $1,390. The balance is used with nice clean cancels (these catalogue $192). Overall very fine, we noted a used sheet with internal separation and also some extra singles. Owner's inventory list included.

image Mint and Used Collection in Stanley Gibbons Album, 1862-1978, a very nice collection which has some scope for completion in the earlier issues. Includes air mails and newspaper complete and semi-postals complete for period; 21 postal fiscals but no other back of the book. We noted #13 (very fine), 14 (3 margins), 15 (3½ narrow margins, 28 (very fine), 14 perforated Chalon Heads (two with obvious faults, these conservatively catalogue $1,000), #59 (rounded corner), 78 (hinged), 97 and 98 (both hinged), 120 (used), 122-125 (124 is hinged, rest are used), 183 (hinged), B3-4 (hinged), etc. Scott catalogue by period is used Chalons $1,990, Sidefaces with a few mint $1,464, Mount Cook mint and used $1,454, Christchurch to KGVI $2,698 primarily used to KGV then primarily mint hinged and never hinged, and QEII $1,090 much of which is never hinged Health sheets (with a few hinged). Overall the quality is very nice except where noted above and fine-very fine. (Image)

image Mint and Used Collection in Old Style Lindner Hingeless Album, 1856-1971, a strong collection primarily used in the early period and mostly mint from 1928. A few faulty in the early period not counted and this collection was only catalogued up to 1957. Also has a few stock pages with about 150 never hinged stamps to 1981. image Mint and used Collection, starts with a collection on Scott Specialty pages, 1901 to mid-1980s, used at first, then mixed, then mint to the end, with some duplication and many complete sets. This alone catalogues $568. Also a collection of mostly Lakatoi used issues on black stock pages, with many printings, nice postmarks, note a 4c brown with "rift in cloud" variety, includes 66 of this issue, including overprinted and perforated O.S. stamps, plus a variety of other commemoratives (not counted, but see scans). image Massive Old Time Collection of Mint and Used, plus Covers, 1918 to 1990s, with many thousands of stamps (duplicated), souvenir sheets and over 550 covers, mounted on many hundreds of pages, with a very wide variety of material, including lots of occupation and WWII era material, locals, cinderellas, propaganda, back of the book, semi-postals, blocks, inscription blocks, sheets, forgeries, lots of postmarks, booklet panes, imperforates, and much more. A very quick look revealed some more valuable items, including #s B31 (NH, $120), B29-B29C (both NH, $275 for both), etc. Noted a group of 32 covers mailed 1944-45 from Poland to Red Cross in Switzerland, through Gibraltar and censored in Egypt (along with an article on these), about 200 mint never hinged complete sheets from 1990 to 2000, etc. Strong in the early to WWII era with lots of interesting and seldom seen material, with lots of Cracow issues (inspect), covers are addressed to a wide variety of countries including Canada. A great opportunity for the specialist or enthusiast of this interesting country. Scans only give a small idea, careful inspection should reward. (Image)
