image Thousands of Mint and Used Stamps with two Lighthouse albums 1850-1983 with specialized material such as paper varieties on the 1948-52 Costume issues (#520-556), also some loose and some on pages. We noted #s 6/11 ($140), 33 (used, $130), C54-60 (used, $273) and more, see scans for an idea. There is duplication, so finds are possible, especially in postmarks. JG (Image)

image Large Old Time Collection / Accumulation of Revenue Stamps and Documents, with many thousands in all, mostly mounted on pages in four large binders and in a small stockbook. Duplication, still a lot of variety of issues. Also includes a group of about 100 legal documents, such as a lovely 1662 document with six wax seals and others with 19th century revenue frankings. A very rare opportunity to acquire such material and our online scans only give a small taste - viewing in person will give a better appreciation of the vastness of this lot. (Image)

image Collection of Locals, Seals, Cinderellas, Revenues, Etc, on 108 pages, with probably over 1,500 items in all. The variety here is impressive, and there is probably a little of everything included. Well worth a close examination, as knowledge of these subjects may reward. A rarely offered lot, see scans for an idea, overall fine or better. (Image)

image Mint and Used Collection in Four Volumes, 1850-2000, the first three (1850-1979) are Lindner hingeless with matching slipcases and the fourth (1980-2000) is a Lighthouse hingeless. The collection is close to complete with many varieties not listed in Scott and overall has exceptionally nice quality. We note #1, 7, 8 (x2), 18 (unused), 1867 and 1874 50kr used, latter with Senf handstamp, 196c (used), 1908-16 Josef (mint or used), 1910 Birthday (mint missing 5kr), 1920 overprinted Parliament imperforate (lightly hinged), 1931 Rotary mint (all signed), 1931 Poets (very lightly hinged), 1932 Scenes (very lightly hinged), 1932 Artists (very lightly hinged and used), 1933 Ski Federation (used), 1933 Stagecoach on granite paper (hinged), Newspaper P1 and P7 (used), P4 and P5 (unused reprints) and more. Volume 4 is complete mint never hinged. Volumes 1 to 3 are two collections, with the used hinged to the page and the mint (usually) in the clear mount on the page. Often there are very fine used complete not visible under the mint as you turn the pages. An examination of several dozen stamps suggests most if not all of the mint after 1953 are never hinged. Overall lovely quality and includes pencil notes by owner including less than a dozen noted with (trivial) faults. (Image)

image Collection of 1851-1856 Mercury Newspaper Stamps, all mounted on 8 pages, and includes 71 stamps, including 4 blocks of 4. Includes some obviously forgeries, possible reprints and some that appear to be genuine (would have a high catalogue value, if so). Some of the forgeries are identified by owner as Fournier or Spiro, and we note an original photograph of a Sperati forgery as well as some stamps with the same design as was used for the 1933 WIPA exhibition. The lot also includes 10 copies of Scott #P7, the 1861 Newspaper stamp. A great lot for the specialist, rarely offered. All pages are scanned online. (Image)

image Mint and Used Collection in a Shaubek Album Plus Three Stockbooks, the album goes from 1858 to 1969, with over 2,000 stamps including back of the book, decent Eupen & Malmedy but somewhat sparse after 1960. The very few faults are noted by the owner. Semi postals include many full sets and are mostly mint hinged or never hinged, the balance primarily used. The three stockbooks include issues after 1969, early precancels and duplicates. Overall quality is nice especially the mint semi postals, and the total catalogue value is likely in excess of $5,000.
