Great Britain Collection of Stamford Mercury Cancelled to Order Covers and Wrappers, with 25 items on quadrille pages in a Plymouth album. The Stamford Mercury was a newspaper publisher who were allowed to use their own precancel, made in the form of a "hooded circle". This collection is arranged chronologically from 1944 to 1974. 7 of the items have addresses on them, and all items appear to be different in some way. We note an error of colour cut square, where the ½p blue was printed in turquoise. Very fine, an interesting collection, great start for expansion, see scans for an idea. (Image)

(73)" c.d.s. and boxed "P.P", back shows a next day Pointe-a-Pitre receiver (in blue), very fine. The letter inside is datelined "Trinité, le 7 Oct, 1873". Owner's write-up reads "An unusual single franking, while Petit Bourg on the east coast of Basse Terre is only a short distance from Pointe-à-Pitre it would not be considered a local posting and the normal domestic rate was 20c, a rare cover from this small town". Worldwide Postal Stationery in an Old Imperial Postage Stamp album Titled "Envelopes and Wrappers" by Stanley Gibbons, with "over 4,500 engravings" this album is undated but contains material from early to up to about the 1920s. We note both cut squares and entires from a good number of different British Commonwealth and worldwide countries. We also note a very nice assortment of postmarks from all over, with destinations (many are addressed to Basel Switzerland), rates, and more. We counted about 140 stationery cards and covers, and probably hundreds of cut squares or portions of cards, and have not checked any for scarcity, etc. The items appear to be all hinged with either regular hinges or paper ones and the condition is overall fine, with the odd faulty item here and there. Worldwide Collection of Over 400 First Day Covers, 1936-2013, including 144 New Zealand first days (1936-2013, with most from 1936-1970s), noting Health Camp covers with camp cancels and more. Also with used stamps from 1943 to 1970s including Health miniature sheets. Also 27 Australia first days, mostly from the 1980s, over 100 Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee first days and a group of 1977 Royal Visit and 1981 Royal Wedding covers. Also saw over 70 United Nations first days. The New Zealand group has some edge faults or toning spots on some items, rest appear to be all very fine. (Image)

Worldwide Accumulations of About 600 First Flight and 500 Commercial Covers, 1950s to 2000, to and from many countries, in good to fine condition. Most are from flights of major commercial airlines, seemingly on the first run of a new route or to a new destination on an existing route. We noted some with flight crew signatures and saw some "around the world" flights with notations about flying time. Unchecked by us for rates, cachets and postmarks, we are sure there will be some happy moments of sorting and organizing.
