High denomination and better issues are to be found here and there throughout the collection with dozens of singles and sets in the $5 to $10 range with some ranging higher. This clean collection, consisting of many thousands of stamps and comes in two parts, which dovetail nicely. The first nine volumes contain a respectable collection from classics to the 1980s, neatly hinged onto quadrille pages, organized by country, roughly in chronological order. The second part is from The Kenmore Collection of World New Issues, it spans seven volumes and contains stamps from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. The overall collection has a good representation of material from all over the world with China and the French and British Colonies perhaps standing out a little. Better, early PRC material serves to boost the total catalogue value. There are some hinge remnants here and there where stamps have been removed. Overall fine or better. image Mint and Used Collector's Duplicates / Dealer's Stock in Red Boxes, housed in seven red boxes, three half-sized red boxes and three white 102-card boxes with thousands of stamps. The group includes Australia, Great Britain & Commonwealth, Germany & Area, Russia and some worldwide. The Australia is mostly used, organized by Scott catalogue number and goes from about the 1910s to the 1990s. We noted a few singles / sets in the $2 to $5 range, with a few singles above this. For Great Britain the material is mostly mint 1970s and 1980s stamps, usually in the form of singles and is therefore a little better organized for sale. For Britain, there are also several hundred, mostly used stamps in glassines. The British Commonwealth is by Scott number and is strong in India & Asia, the Caribbean and British Europe. These also appear ready for sale and have many sets at the $2 to $5 level. The Germany & Area is organized by Michel number, is a mix of mint and used and has upwards to about five of any given issue. Some of the Germany is ready for sale. We noted a few better sets climbing to the $10 to $20 level as well as unusual items listed in Michel. The Danzig is comprised mostly of mint and is well suited for selling. The Saar is more of a collector's duplicates arrangement. The Russia material will often have both the Scott number as well as the Michel. These tend to be unpriced, used singles. The worldwide portion is comprised of mint singles in unmarked 102s. We estimate there to be the following number of 102-cards for each country: Australia (700), Great Britain (300), British Commonwealth (2,000), Germany (1,500), Danzig (300), Saar (400), Russia 1,300) and Worldwide (600). image Eclectic Mix Remainder Lot, including stamps from Austria, China, Germany, Russia and Scandinavia. We start with a few part panes of 1940s China. These have been folded along the perfs but are otherwise generally fresh and have a total of more than 500 stamps. For Germany there is an old-time collection hinged onto graph paper, basically starting with classics and going to the end of the Reich. There is also a collection of Austria for roughly the same period in the back of the same binder. The Germany portion also includes over 160 souvenir sheets, these mostly from the 1970s. Continuing with the German material, there is a counter-book with more than 130 102-cards with priced mint singles and sets of West Germany from the 1970s. The Russia material consists of classics mounted onto pages plus roughly 5,000 1960s and 1970s CTO Soviet stamps. Also among the Russia material is a mint sheet file with CTO full panes some of the Medals series of the 1950s as well as some of the 1966 definitives (14 panes in total). The Scandinavia segment is comprised of mint booklets from the 1970s, with 24 out of 30 of these from Sweden, including Scott # 1277a (c.v. mint $40). Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
