CUBA 1898/1900s COVERS and CARDS BALANCE. mostly used stationery and assortment of covers from war period and incl handful of mint cards and envelopes and a useful array of soldier covers, military station cancels, incoming mail, few patriotics, assorted auxiliary markings, embarkation camps, etc., includes 1902 postal card Havana to Switzerland, an 1899 handmade "woven" envelope, 1899 envelope with printed cc of flag and "USMS St Paul" (ocean liner became part of the "auxiliary navy" and saw action around Cuba led by Capt Charles Sigsbee - formerly of the USS Maine), an 1898 inventory of materiel recovered from a deserter, military station cancels for Puerto Principe, Pinar Del Rio, Matanzas, Manzanillo, Cienfuegos, etc., very mixed condition but overall Fine and well worth a careful inspection
