Spain, Exceptional Mostly Mint Collection with Extensive Civil War Locals, 1850-2000, We begin with a chronological collection of Spain on stocksheets, primarily used up until 1905 and almost entirely mint from then on. Housed in three binders, this collection has a sizeable amount of never-hinged and many of the scarcer sets & singles, among which you will find mint #345-57, 516-23, 605G, 606-14, 617, 623-34, 668-71, 776-79, B14-18, B22, B66, B68-69, B108Kl, B109-22, C50-57 (imperf), C88-89, C91, C97, C120 (imperf pair), C123-24, C127-30, CB6, CB8-17, and many more. You'll also find a lot of material not listed in Scott, like specimens, numerous varieties and errors. Take C56 for example; there's Lindbergh inverted, double and missing (Edifil #588ecei, eced, ecef respectively). Yet some errors are in Scott, like the inverted overprint C97b and others. But if you're a collector of Spain and want to journey into what many collectors would consider uncharted territory, look no further, because this lot has four additional binders of Spanish Civil War locals and war tax stamps. Filling nearly 200 stockpages, a collection of this depth is rarely seen and features locals from Barcelona, Bilbao, Burgos, Cordoba, Madrid, Malaga, Seville, and other regions, such as Catalonia, Mallorca and the Canary Islands. The latter actually has some listed in Scott, and there's a mint 9LC24 with a certificate! The entire collection of locals is viewable online, as is a portion of Spain proper.
