image Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used Russia, 1889-1980, consisting of a few thousand stamps, including souvenir sheets, in nine stockbooks / albums. The lot begins with a mix of mint and used Coat of Arms and continues with an assortment of mint and used stamps, including some sets, including Airmails, Semi-Postals, Offices Abroad, Occupation Stamps, Overprints, etc. A spot check indicated better items with Scott #s 65-67 (m.h., $135 total), 1081a (m.h., $100), 1082a (m.h., $100), 1083a (m.h., $75), 1325 sheet of 4 (m.h., gum disturbances, $200), C58-67 (C65 used, $332 total), along with stamps and sets cataloguing $20 and up. A good lot for the specialist with the potential for finds, and online scans showing a representation of the lot. We note a few faults with some of the early stamps along with a few gum disturbances with the mint issues. Duplication up to 5 in some cases. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
