Covers. 1895 (6 Feb.) envelope registered from Cedar Valley to the Audit Office at Kingston, bearing 1/- rose neatly cancelled by datestamp and oval registered datestamp, at first disallowed by the postmaster who indicated an invalid stamp with blue crayon circles, a charge of 4d. then 3d. was inscribed in blue crayon which was crossed out in Kingston and which was applied over the Jamaica Registered oval datestamp and for confirmation a boxed "jamaica paid" datestamp in red was applied on 7 February; crease at foot well clear of the adhesive.
