Montserrat, 1796, folded cover to London, postmarked by a fine strike of the "MONTSERRAT" straightline handstamp (type PS2, state 1) with manuscript "p Packet"; rated "2/", but crossed through with inspector's red Crown handstamp alongside, and replaced with "3/" for a triple weight letter; backstamped with two London arrival datestamps on Jul 21; light vertical crease crosses the handstamp, Fine to Very Fine and rare.
