image Netherlands Colonies: Netherlands East Indies, 1844 Batavia, East Indies to Marseilles, France per ship "Globe". Folded letter endorsed "per Le Globe" with red "Outre Mer, 15 Fevr, 45" cds and "22" due rating, reverse with French transit and receiving backstamp, Very Fine, the Globe, a whaling ship, in 1824 suffered a mutiny and the incident was widely published which influenced writers such as Herman Melville and James Michener.

Rose surcharge and blue "4558" handstamp, used with Panama 5c blue with "AR" oval provisional handstamp and 1c green, 2c rose pair with Third Panama Overprint and 5c with Fourth Panama Overprint, tied by "Panama 25 Abr 1904" duplexes on cover with preprinted to Paris, France, New York (5.4) transit backstamp and New York exchange label, Paris (5.12) arrival backstamp, Very Fine.

By March 30th 1904, the stock of overprinted Colombia A.R. stamps was apparently exhausted. For the next three months, regular postage stamps were used cancelled by with the same A.R. oval handstamp used prior to Independence.

image Peru, 1899, Manco Capac, 2c scarlet. Tied by clearly struck British barred "C43" handstamp with "Correos de Peru, Payta" double-circle backstamp on 1901 cover with preprinted address to New York, Mar. 15th arrival backstamp, Very Fine.

This is a peculiar use of the British post office "C43" cancel despite there having been no British post office left in Paita by this time, the only reasonable assumption we can provide is that this was a "left over" cancellation that was used as it was applied 24 years after the last known use of the British marking in 1877.
