image Group of Middle East Collections in 4 Albums, 1870-1990, along with ten Vario-style stock pages, consisting of several thousand stamps, with representation from Israel, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia. The lot begins with 3 albums of mint Israel on album pages in hingeless mounts, ranging from 1949 to 1985, appearing complete with tabs from 1950 onward. We note a few better items including Scott #s 1-9 (m.h., c.v. $136 total), 27 with tab (n.h., $80), along with a few stamps cataloguing $10 and up. Owner's Scott 2014 catalogue value at $1,908. The lot continues with a Minkus album containing a few hundred stamps for each country including: mint and used Iraq, ranging from 1920-1969, with Owner's Scott 2019 catalogue value at $407; Jordan, ranging from 1920 to 1969, including Scott #58 (m.h., $75), 156 (m.h., $70). Owner's Scott 2020 catalogue value at $897; mint and used Lebanon, ranging from 1924-1969, including Scott #45-48 (m.h., $130 total). Owner's Scott 2019 catalogue value at $1,312; mint and used Saudi Arabia, ranging from 1916-1969, with owner's Scott 2020 catalogue value at $574. The lot concludes with many hundreds of mint and used Iran, ranging from 1870-1990, with owner's Scott 2014 catalogue value at $6,060 (if genuine). A spot check indicated stamps, and a few sets, cataloguing $20 and up. with representation of mint and used Airmails, Postage Due, Officials, etc, with owner's inventory included with the lot. Online scans show a representation, noting a few faults with the early material, with a spot check indicating mostly mint hinged stamps. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
