Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used Malta, 1860-1970, containing roughly 400 stamps in a stockbook. The lot begins with a few used forerunners, and on piece, with A25 postmarks on Great Britain stamps, and continues with a selection of mint and used Victorian issues, of note, Scott #14 (m.h., c.v. $125). The lot continues with mint and used, including sets and partial sets up to the Elizabethan period, including Scott #82 high value 2sh SELF-GOVERNMENT overprint in red (used, c.v. $525), Scott #126 (used, c.v. $160), and Scott #246-262 (m.h. set, c.v. $127), along with stamps and sets cataloguing $10 and up. A good lot for potential finds by the specialist or dealer, with duplication up to 5 in some cases. The first 6 pages are scanned online, and note a few small faults with the early material, including a few mint no gum. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
