image S.G. #198a, 200a, 1936 5m and 15m Coil stamps, lot comprised of mint strips of four, the 15m being a paste-up, a set of bottom margin mint blocks of four with of the same two values with inverted control numbers, these having been prepared for use as coils in the same perforation as the original set, but test proved the perforation was inadequate for use in coil machines and was changed to 13½x14, this special printing is only recognizable by the inverted control numbers, also included are two registered covers to England (ex-Darlow), one with coil strips of four and the other with inverted control blocks of four of each, stamps o.g. or n.h., very fine lot; extremely rare as there can exist only a few such blocks of the 1936 coils. Jordan March 1923 overprints specialized collection of both perforations between S.G. #55/67 in mounts on quadrilled pages, including a reconstructed block of 25 of the 4m, blocks of four of the 2m-5Pi, less the 5m perf. 15x14, and plate flaws such as the short "K", dropped "Q", long second line., etc., several in pair with normal, among the values present are the 5m perf. 15x14 (6) and perf. 14 (10, plus a used block of four) and the 10Pi (3), generally o.g., mostly fine-very fine; a nice study group for the specialist.

Jordan postage dues stock, extraordinary accumulation of several hundred 1923-57 issues sorted on stockcards between S.G. D112 and 469, with about 70% of the value being in the overprints/surcharges on issues of Saudi Arabia, including a large number of errors on the September 1923 set, the latter issues include many complete sets in quantities of around four to sixteen with many better, the Saudi issues with some minor faults, usually small gum stains, but the majority are fine-very fine, o.g., l.h. or n.h., with a few used; three BPA certificates accompany.

Jordan overprints and surcharges on stamps of Saudi Arabia extensive specialized collection of these fascinating issues in mounts on quadrilled pages in two Elbe albums, all the issues are represented, mostly mint but some used as well, with numerous multiples, the April 1923 issue is especially strong, including two inverted overprints (1/8P and 1P), and many plate varieties such as looped, long-joint and short "R", short "K", etc., often with normal se-tenant, the September 1923 handstamped surcharges include several surcharge errors, there is a very nice section of the 1924 Royal Visit, both black and gold overprints, with varieties, similarly nice March-May 1924 new setting with numerous varieties, both ½P well represented, the largest and most interesting section is that of the September-November 1924 issue, replete with overprint varieties, many in pair or block with normal, including the "1242" and "1343" date errors as well as Arabic lettering varieties, the last issue is that of August 1925, and this also has some varieties including inverted overprints mint with a few types and used (all perforated) and the sets both perf. and imperf. in mint blocks of four, making this a marvelous opportunity for the specialist to acquire an excellent collection that will fill many hours in study.
