image Hungary, Eclectic, Specialized, Mostly Mint Collection, 1920-78, Not your ordinary Hungary collection; neatly presented in two volumes with stamps and souvenir sheets in black mounts. One volume has an imperf collection from 1949-78, stamps normally only footnoted in Scott. Among the many better sets & singles are #906-10, 911-13 (pairs), 929-32, 1035, 1076-78, 1079-81, 1189, 1202a, 1282-91. The other volume is no less impressive, beginning with an excellent selection of the Harvesting issue from the 1920s showcasing the 3-hole punch and the T/P/Porto overprints as notated in the Michel catalogue. We are then treated to a magnificent survey of the 1947 Roosevelt issue (B198A-D & CB1-CB1C) with not only the individual stamps, but also in tête-bêche pairs, souvenir sheets both perf & imperf, and sheetlets, both regular & tête-bêche. Other items of interest include booklet panes of 859-60 & C63 imperforate vertically, B126-29 imperf, B144-47 in sheets of ten, B148a-50a both perf & imperf, and some interesting covers. The entire collection is viewable online and we ask you to savor it, because unless you are the lucky winner, it will probably be some time before you see a collection like this again, generally Fine to Very Fine.
