The lot also includes two binders containing an Israel stamp collection with 324 mint stamps (singles, blocks, plate blocks, souvenir sheets), most with tabs, as well as 58 covers, many of which are seldom seen as they originate at Israeli settlements in occupied Gaza, Golan, Sinai and the West Bank, and reflect tensions of war and peace in the Middle east. Very Large Summer and Winter Olympic Games Topical Collection, housed in more than a dozen large binders. This group has thousands of stamps from a large number of countries, these usually being mint and in complete sets. In addition to this there are more than 450 souvenir sheets. Among the stamps and souvenir sheets are a significant number of imperforate varieties and deluxe proofs. The years heaviest in material are from 1956 to 2002, with some material before and after this, including for example, Lebanon Scott #s 18-21 (c.v. mint $100), 45-48 (mint $130). The collection also boasts over 1,000 covers, the majority of these being FDCs and covers with event cancels. Also included are a number of official / semi-official collections of FDCs in their own folders / albums for each of the Olympics of Sapporo 1972, Moscow 1980, Summer and Winter Games of 1992 and Salt Lake 2002. Although a few of the binders show wear, the stamps and covers are overall very fine. (Image)

Large Collection of British Commonwealth Omnibus and Common Designs, from 1981 to 2017 almost all featuring the Royal Family in five medium to large stockbooks plus folders. Much of the material has been catalogued by the owner, with chits tucked in here and there to show values. This group is almost entirely fresh mint never hinged, is heavier in more modern material and includes fairly extensive coverage of the following occasions; 1998, 2002, 2007 Diana Memorial issues, 2000 William's 18th Birthday, 2003 William's 21st Birthday, 2011 Wedding of William & Kate, 2013 Birth of Prince George, 2015 Birth of Charlotte and 2017 Wedding of Harry and Meaghan. Also included are numerous stamps for other events, such as the 1953 Coronation, 1973 Wedding of Anne and Mark, 1980 Queen Mother's 80th Birthday, 1981 Wedding of Charles & Diana, 1985 Queen Mother's 85th Birthday, 1991 Elizabeth's 70th Birthday and others. There are also folders with many duplicated souvenir sheets for 1985 Queen Mother's 85th Birthday and part sheets for the 1986 Wedding of Andrew & Sarah as well as other events. The collection contains many hundreds of worldwide scouting-themed stamps and covers, with singles, sets, souvenir sheets, first day covers, etc. We note that the majority of the items were mounted using double sided tape, which removes easily but leaves stains. This group consists of thousands of stamps from all over the world, usually being complete sets of mint stamps. Included among these are Thailand Scott #s B12-B30 (c.v. for these, if genuine, is $2,318). There are also more than 150 souvenir sheets in the collection. The collection generally spans the 1940s to the 1980s with some items from before this period. There are also over 1,000 covers, the majority of these having special / event cancels or being FDCs. Space and Fish Thematic Collections, consisting of many thousands of stamps (singles, se-tenant blocks, strips or mini-sheets and plate blocks), more than 350 souvenir sheets and more than 50 covers in 9 stockbooks and 2 boxes. We saw a multitude of countries including African, Caribbean and South Pacific nations, with a very nice quantity of USA, Soviet Union / Russia, France, Canada and other western nations In addition to the usual rockets, astronauts and pictures of the moon and the heavens, the space collection also contains stamps commemorating early astronomers, telescopes and related mythology and we noticed some progressive proof material among the extensive contents. We saw a very nice astronaut Robert Thirsk signed Orapex cover, along with other astronaut or cosmonaut-signed items. The fish material is very colourful and includes both fish and fishing-related content with some very creative miniature sheets. The space-related items comprise approximately 85% of the contents with the fish-related material rounding out the holdings. The vast majority of items in this clean collection are mint and in fine to very fine condition. Our photos provide a good sampling of the treasures within for the collector or dealer. (Image)
