image Collections of Mint and Used Finland with Greenland, 1856-2000s, consisting of many hundreds of stamps in a Norma album, and Vario-style stock pages. The lot begins with a 1961 Norma album (with spaces for stamps from 1854 to 1963), consisting of many hundreds of mint and used material in hingeless mounts. A spot check of stamps indicated Scott #s 7, 9, 13 (used, c.v. $460 total), 17-23 (used, missing #20, c.v. $173 total), 25-28, 30, and continues with used, mint, and sets with a few cataloguing $20 and up, with representations of mint and used Semi-Postals. Owner's Scott 2014 catalogue value at $3,830 (lot includes owner's inventory). The lot also includes a binder with 16 Vario-style and manilla pages with several hundreds of primarily used accumulations of Finland. The lot concludes with roughly 175 mint and used Greenland, ranging from 1938 to the early 2000s. Owner's Scott 2014 catalogue value at $982 (lot includes owner's inventory). Online scans show a representation, noting a few faults with the early material (including missing perfs.), with a spot check indicating mostly mint hinged stamps. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
