The collection includes a binder of mint and used France (1,665 stamps, counted by owner, with a good selection of used classics), ranging from 1852 to 1966, with a spot check indicating Scott #s: 83 (used, $110), B16 (used), B17-B18 (c.v. $66 total), along with stamps, sets and part sets, cataloguing $20 and up. The lot continues with a binder of mint and used Belgium (1919 stamps), ranging from 1851 to 1965, with stamps, sets and part sets, cataloguing $20 and up. The collection includes two binders of mint and used Germany, DDR, and Berlin (2,592 stamps), ranging from 1872 to 1964, with a spot check indicating B7 (used, $82), B91-92 souvenir sheets (m.h., $75 total), along with stamps, sets and part sets, cataloguing $10 and up. The collection concludes with 4 binders of mint and used including: Italy (1,022 stamps), ranging from 1862 to 1966; Monaco (602 stamps), ranging from 1885 to 1965; San Marino (633 mint stamps), ranging from 1877 to 1966; Vatican (343 stamps), ranging from 1929 to 1966. The lot includes a good representation of Airmails, Semi-Postals, Officials, Postage Dues, Occupations, and other back of the book material. A very interesting group of countries, with potential for finds, including postmarks, by the dedicated collector. Online scans show a representation of the lot. We note a few small faults with the early stamps, overall fine to very fine. (Image)
