Worldwide Stamps and Covers
Egypt

Sale No: 46
Lot No: 1753
Symbol: O/*/*
Cat No: Collections

image Mint and Used Collection, 1866 to 1985, on older album pages in a binder, which we estimate to be 80% complete to 1970, with some stamps after that. One of the better issues included is # 11 (mint c.v. $135) and others. There is often a mint and a used example for the same issue, plus extra stamps stacked up to five deep in some of the mounts. There are also numerous loose stamps as well as in 102 cards throughout the binder and at the beginning in stock pages, which have yet to be added into the collection. Overall fine to very fine. image Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used Egypt, 1867-1968, consisting of many hundreds of stamps, in a binder, with many Vario-style and owner created pages. The lot begins with a selection of used material up to the mid 1920s (including a few pages of pyramid stamps), with a gradual mix of mint and used material up to the 1950s, and primarily mint United Arab Republic material up to the late 1960s. The collection includes a representation of Airmails, Officials, Postage Dues, and Occupation of Palestine. A cursory look of material showed a mix of lower value stamps with items cataloguing $10 and up, leaving potential finds for the diligent collector. We note a few small faults with the early material, with the vast majority of the lot being fine to very fine. (Image)
