1868 Suez Canal Company Collection, starts with a genuine single (pos 17) plus a scarce block of six (pos 5-7 / 17-19) of the 20c blue and the block is accompanied by a 1996 Charles F. Hass certificate. This lot also includes a group of what appears to be forgeries, with 1c (pair and two singles), 5c (x3), 20c (x5 including two with faults) and 40c (x4). These include shades, and we assess them as forgeries based solely on the fact that they appear to have vertical lines between "DE SUEZ" and "POSTES" (as opposed to cross hatched lines).
