Large Lot of Mint Never Hinged Miniature Panes and Souvenir Sheets, in envelopes with glassine interleaving or in glassines. Scott #s 678/3078, duplicated with upwards of 10 or more of some items. This group must have high total catalogue value: we checked the first 20 envelopes out of over 60 and found the catalogue value to be $1,963; this just counting items over $10. The miniature panes of Czechoslovakia have, for the most part been separated into their component stamps over the years and have only relatively recently been listed as footnotes in Scott, which is why we noted these surprisingly high catalogue values for this country. The stamps are generally well-preserved, despite their humble presentation, with only the odd folded corner here or there as a result of careless handling. Excellent material for the re-seller. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
