Collection / Accumulation of Mint and Used Ceylon,1857-1966, consisting of roughly 700 stamps on ten 9-row black stockbook pages. The lot starts with an assortment of used Victorian issues up to 1868, many identified by the owner including Scott #s 1 (c.v. $500), 3-4, 6-7 (c.v. $875 total), 17, 18, 19 (c.v. $325), 20A, 21-23, 25-28, 33, 34, 36, 38-39, 41, 45A, 46A, 47, 49 (c.v. $275). The lot continues mint and used Victorian issues onward, along with sets and partial sets some sets cataloguing $20 and up including Scott #s 63-73 (used, c.v. $184), 85-91 (m.h., c.v. $107 total), 176-177 (m.h., c.v. $157 total). A good lot for the specialist or dealer with scans showing all the pages. We note a few small faults including a few mint no gum and a few with hinge remnants. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
