Impressive Large Used Belgium Collection 1920 to 2000, nearly complete to 1982, then with lower completion, including back-of-the-book issues, all on quadrille pages. This collection features numerous long complete sequences of regular, semi-postal and parcel post stamps with only a very few stamps missing in between. Most of the higher value sets and souvenir sheets are semi-postal items such as Scott B123-131 (c.v. $286), B144-150 (c.v. $185), mnh souvenir sheet B176 (c.v. $275), used B514-522 (c.v. $291), Q1-12 (c.v. $180) and many more, too numerous to list. Owner’s 2015 cv is $3,500. Very fine overall. (Image)

Belgium and Colonies Mint and Used Collection in 64-page Stockbook to the 1950s for Belgium, and to the 1970s for the Belgian Congo. This lot starts with an impressive accumulation of Léopold stamps Scott 1-16 with 64 imperforate and 24 perforated stamps, unchecked by us for watermarks; many of these with clear numeral cancels, some faulty. This is followed by a somewhat disorganized collection of both regular and back-of-the-book issues, mainly semi-postals but also including officials, parcel post, postage due and occupation stamps. We noted mnh Scott 213 (c.v. $100), mint souvenir sheet B169 (c.v. $200), mnh B521-22, both with attached labels (c.v. $320) and much more. A small accumulation of B28-30 forgeries is also included. Some of the mint stamps were found to be without gum. Belgian Congo and Ruanda-Urundi issues together with early Congo Republic issues complete this offering. Very fine, except as described above.
