image 1562 (Sept 1st) Entire letter addressed to the Councilors of the Imperial Court War Council of Lower Austria in Prague, with paper seal on reverse, signed "Michell P..." (unidentified), with contents including three letters, one related to the Army's Witness Department, in which the sender, sent on a mission on the orders of the Bohemian King, confirms that, after visiting him, the Master Witness "Saligen" died on Aug. 23 in a locality by the Mur River; other letter, marked with "D", was the King's order to visit the Master Witness; in addition, a letter from "Jorgen Freyherrn von Thannhausen" to Witness Aaster Salig is mentioned, which is designated by the sender with a "B"; a summary of the contents transcribed in German is attached; ex Rothschild. image 1579 (Jan 28) Letter from the Holy Emperor Rudolph II (House of Habsburg), then also King of Hungary and Croatia and Archduke of Austria, addressed to his cousin Ferdinand II, Archduke of Austria, ruler of Outer Austria and Imperial Count of Tirol; the letter was erroneously dated inside in 1799, but the docket of receipt on front shows 11 February 1579; signed "Rudolff" as "your more beloved cousin", displaying a complete paper seal on back with a great embossing, very fine and rare, with a quite accurate transcription being attached; ex Rothschild.
