image Laos, Airmail, 1953, Great Oath of Laos Ceremony, specialized selection (Scott C7-C12), a lovely and very nicely centered set of the issued stamps (the $9 value with an interesting plate flaw of a line of green running just above the bottom perforations), plus an imperforate single of the $6.50 value in gray green rather than the issued blue green and with a hint of margin burelage at far right, as well as two examples of the $1000 stamp overprinted "SPECIMEN" in red, one attached to the first page of an article, by the French Director of Posts & Telecommunications, Henry Bouchon, which appeared in the government publication France-Asie, $50 UPU issue (#C6) with similar overprint attached to back page of the article, Very Fine, incredibly rare, these being two of only three values ever issued with "Specimen" overprints (see the next lot for the third, plus the end of Bouchon's article).
