In two Scott Specialty albums; mix of mint and used throughout, with postal stationery, a few covers, plus rarely encountered Revenues—the way collections used to be built; comprises Afghanistan with 1960s souvenir sheets; solid Iran with stationery and identified Revenues; Korea (with many if not most of the souvenir sheets of the 1960s); strong Thailand with lovely earlies (including stationery); Tibet; Manchukuo; pretty Shanghai from the Small Dragons on, again with many stationery cut squares; and extensive Bhutan with their always-popular lenticular, embossed, and records issues, etc., Fine to Very Fine with much better throughout, well worth the time to inspect.

Lovely group that has been set aside many years with useful little odds and ends from these popular countries that quickly adds up in value, with many stamps, FDC's and commercial covers, with groups of several Mylar bags filled with Republic of China stack of corner margin blocks mostly from the 1980's-2000's, stock book of Imperial to early Republic issues with Republic issues to 1980's, PRC Scott 980 on cover, 1764a complete booklet, 1859-63 complete booklet, PRC group of 1970's and 80's first day covers and presentation folders, Hong Kong group of first day covers from 1960's-1980's, Indonesia FDC group 1940's-1960's, Japan Minkus Collection 1875-1960's with Scott 422 used, Japan / Korea / Ryukyu dealer counter book of tear sheets with many stamps in the $1 to $10 range that quickly add up in value, Ryukyu Collection in lovely JPS album about half full of 1960's-70's commemoratives, another Ryukyu Islands collection with a high level of completion, just missing the difficult sets 1a-7a, 17, etc., includes some nice first day covers and mint sheets, three early Vietnam 1940-54 covers with interesting airmail overseas usages; expect some mixed condition, but generally Fine to Very Fine.

image Asia, Accumulation and Collection, 1950-1990. An interesting holding of several hundred mint and used stamps neatly mounted in 2 binders. Noteworthy is a mint collection of Cambodia including 1-64, B1-7, C1-14 plus additional. Japan includes 396, 1087a (10), many full sheets and blocks of 10. Also Korea 287a-289a, Ryukyus C14-17, Singapore 156 block of 10, plu much used Republic of China. Japan and Singapore repeat with used high values in quantities. Condition is mainly Fine to Very Fine, with singles mainly o.g., lightly hinged and blocks never hinged. A nice lot well worth a look, o.g., some never hinged / some hinged.

image Asia, A Counterweight Continental Cover Collection, 1950s-2000s. Over 400 in total, the majority of which are commercial covers, with First Days, First Flights, Maximum Cards, Expo cards and country-related foreign items included as well; nearly half are from China (PRC or Taiwan), with the other half spread out over Afghanistan, Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Vietnam; most to Europe (though we note several local PRC covers), thus many Airmail and/or Registered usages; majority of items run from the 1970s-90s, with Afghan covers dating from the 1950s; Japan including a colorful five-stamp franking from 1951, vended labels from numerous cities from the 1970s and '80s (unused, several looking to be lottery-type items), an Akihito Investiture maximum card, and a ship-themed, "Raw Silk" advertising card of Masuzawa Seishi; South Korea mostly from the 1960s, with numerous First Days, including 1958 and 1960 Christmas/New Year stamps plus a number of souvenir sheets from the period; Thailand with colorful frankings and computer-vended labels; Vietnam mostly 1960s, with a real photo 1957 postcard of Angkor and even a 1907 French Indochina-franked postcard; China includes a "Sea Mail" handstamped cover, several Dues markings ("T" and "Taxe Perçue" chops), a slew of maximum cards (mostly of Taiwan commemoratives of the 1970s), unmailed picture post cards of Xi'an, etc., etc.; good condition throughout, Fine to Very Fine, some uncommon material included; review will be rewarded.
