Europe (A.M.G.), Everything You Always Wanted to Know About A.M.G. (But Were Afraid to Ask), 1943-54, An exhaustive and all-embracing study of the Allied Military Government of the Occupied Territories, namely Austria, France, Germany, Italy and Trieste (Zones A) on Joe Bush pages and housed in three large binders with slipcases. Mostly mint and highly complete, the scope of this collection alone is certain to enthrall any philatelist regardless of their collecting interest. Volume 1 features Austria & Germany, the latter showcasing in both singles and numerous margin blocks the Brunswick, Washington & British printings along with plate, paper, gum and perf varieties. Volume 2 is devoted entirely to Trieste (Zone A) and encompasses not only a slew of very valuable and scarce stamps, but also perf, watermark and overprint varieties, corner inscription blocks, and town cancellations of the 14 post offices. Volume 3 is all about Italy and features the issues for Sicily, Naples and Venezia Giulia including an in-depth look at the Bari Wolf issue; you'll encounter inverted, double and triple overprints, misperfs, double impressions, and more. And if that weren't enough, all three volumes have abundant extras, such as revenues (travel board fiscal stamps, stock transfer, weights & measure, radio tax, etc.), some covers including postal stationery, gutter pairs, even some forgeries! Accompanying this collection is some relative literature including the book The AMG Story by Harry Wilcke. A video flip of the entire second volume is viewable online, and if you're starting to get excited, you're not alone! generally Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 26.6 lbs.
