LIFETIME ACCUMULATION IN ALBUMS & STOCKBOOKS One man's lifetime accumulation of thousands of mint and used stamps housed in about 25 albums and stockbooks plus two small counter books. We counted at least ten Scott National albums of various vintages and sizes plus one Harris and a recent Christopher Diaz full color illustrated album, not to mention a few White Ace binders and around ten stockbooks. We encountered useful material spread throughout this conglomeration. One stockbook in particular holds several interesting items such as Recalled Legends of the West sheet (#2870), imperf strip of 5 #2280c, Hank Williams perf variety (#2723a x17) and C25-31 plate blocks. Another stockbook holds a dealer's stock of used classics in somewhat mixed condition. Among these, we spotted used #73 (2), 77, 78, 116, 121, and 153 along with many others. Most of the albums hold collection balances, however, there are still "pickings" to be found among the plethora of Classics, low value Columbians, Washington-Franklins, and stock of Farleys. As you view this material, please keep in mind that there is also considerable postage strewn throughout.

WORTHWHILE MINT ASSORTMENT One large carton holding several stock books, one Scott National album, and a small dealer counter book with the value is found in one single stock book which contains a collection of plate number strips of three of Scott #267 and 279B displayed on black stock pages - a close will reveal that some are NH though most are hinged and there are even a few tucked into a pocket that have no gum (and thus not counted). We spotted another stock book exclusively of Famous Americans followed by a mint sheet file of complete sheets (not a complete set). The next stock book holds a smaller quantity of Overrun Countries blocks and name blocks. Next is a stock book of 20th century booklet panes with value concentrated in a group of #498e and a few #499e. The last stock book holds a selection of Prexies including plate blocks of #832, 833 (2) and arrow blocks of 834 (3). The sole album holds a small group of quite recent booklet panes and finally, the small counter book contains a handful of Ducks from the 1970s and 1980s. A careful viewer will definitely be rewarded.

PLATE BLOCK ACCUMULATION 1909 TO 1955 Small box filled with Plate Blocks in two glassine boxes, a dealer counter book and a thick stack of loose album pages. The glassine boxes hold a stock of mostly 3c issues that includes low value Prexies and Liberty series to the 50c value. The counter book holds a worthwhile stock of 2c Reds, 3c Purple and Rotary Press definitives of the 1930s to the 25c value, plus a complete set of Prexie plate blocks to the $5. Most of the value is concentrated in the stack of loose album pages that have been extracted from several collections since we found duplication especially in the Famous American series (three complete sets plus extra 10c values). The earliest plate block is the 1909 2c Lincoln #367 (NH), We also found a complete set of the 1941 Transport Airmails, and C19 (x8) and $5 Moore (x3). Well worth out estimate, especailly since the vast majorith are NH.

JACKPOT ACCUMULATION OF OLD COLLECTIONS Two large cartons bursting with seventeen old albums plus a couple of stock books. The old albums are almost exclusively Scott National albums that have seen better days, since they are all remnant collections from a dealer»s backroom storage. Most of the better material has been removed with the consequence that the collections all bear a strikingly similar appearance because what is left is mostly rather common. A few have a smattering of 19th century issues, there are scattered Washington-Franklins and a handful of early 20th century commemoratives. Most albums have the same National Parks, Famous Americans, low value Prexies, low value Liberty issues and 3c to 5c commemorative issues of the 1950s and 1960s, plus a few Airmails. Here and there we note some Back of Book and Possessions. The new owner will "hit the jackpot" of Scott National collections!
