1940-41, "Philatelic Bibliography", a presentation album, "Addresses Delivered By Officials of the Post Office Department in Connection with Various First-Day Sales of United States Postage Stamps"; approximately 100 mimeographed pages containing the full text of the speeches given by various Post Office officials at the First Day ceremonies for 13 stamps issued between January 29, 1940 and March 4, 1941, Scott 859//903 (10 are from the Famous Americans series). The "Title" page of each issue includes a photo reproduction of the stamp's final design. The first seven speeches were given by Postmaster General James A Farley. Of the remaining six, two were given by Third Assistant Postmaster General Ramsey S. Black, three by Deputy Third Assistant Postmaster General, Roy M. North, and one by New York City Postmaster, Albert Goldman. Farley has signed the page prior to the first speech he delivered, the 1¢ Washington Irving, Scott 859; Ramsey and Black signed the Title page of each issue they addressed; Goldman did not sign on his address (2¢ Morse, Scott 890). The whole is clasp-bound in a black faux leather cover with gold stamped title and name of the presentee, John W. Studebaker, the United States Commissioner of Education under presidents Franklin Roosevelt and Truman.
