USS HOUSTON Covers and Historical Memorabilia, interesting covers sent from this infamous ship that was sunk by Japanese gunfire in the Battle of Java Sea on Feb 28, 1942; lot includes eight covers mailed on the ship 1931-38 from some unusual places (Hong Kong, Tientsin, Old Providence Island, Cocos Island, Cartagena, San Juan, Honolulu); also includes original photographs and ppc's of the ship, including when it was bombarded by the Japanese; also included is the final roster of the crew, listing everyone on the ship that were either Killed or Missing, Wounded, captured and were in Japanese POW camps, VF lot.
