image AMAZING GROUP OF GEMS AND JUMBOS, PART I, includes over 800 various singles and some multiples, mixed mint and used but about 80% used, neatly arranged on black stock cards and then displayed on black stock pages, runs from 1860 to 1938 and includes some B.O.B. material, this incredible holding of super high quality stamps is something to behold, most of the stamps here are Extremely Fine or better, there are hundreds of Jumbos some of which are very impressive, the overall quality is pretty clean but some faults are to be expected and most of which are minor, there is some duplication to be expected but really very impressive variety here, it appears the owner simply bought the biggest and best and then accumulated them for future purposes, none are graded at this point but we believe there must be dozens of 100's and 100J's in this group and certainly several hundred which are 90+ and also several hundred which would get the "J" designation if they were to be graded, even though there are no high catalog value items here, there should still be a substancial amount of total catalog value, lots like these are very difficult to get a handle on for an accurate market value, but we will try: we estimate that there are about 400 stamps which would retail about $10 each, 200 at $15 each, 100 at $20 each, 50 at $25 each and 50+ which would retail over $30 each, and we feel these are very conservative numbers, this makes for a potential total retail value in excess of $12,000 and we feel this number is probably very conservative, these kinds of stamps realize ridiculous prices on online auction platforms, given this likely significant market value we are basing our lot estimate on that potential, (ENV 5,000-6,000) (Image)

image U.S. SUPER HIGH QUALITY MINT AND USED ACCUMULATION, includes thousands and thousands of mint and used singles, arranged by Scott number in two large black page stock book - three ring binders, this group starts in the 1860's and runs to about 1945 and also includes a B.O.B. section, the key to this lot is the overall quality which is simply stunning, about 80% of the stamps in this lot are VF-XF or better, there are hundreds of Jumbos here some of which are quite large, catalog value are mostly under $10 but we noticed some in the $25 range too, it appears the collectors spent decades accumulating choice single after choice single, yes there are some F-VF stamps and there are some faults to be expected but this lot is a graders dream lottery, we believe there are hundreds of stamps here which would grade out at 100 and many hundreds more in the 95-98 range, unfortunately most catalog under $5, we can't stress the overall quality enough, it is simply stunning to see so many choice stamps in one spot, we can't imagine how many thousands of dollars in retail value are here, viewing is very strongly suggested with this one as the few scans we have listed don't even come close to understanding how much potential value there is here, maybe someday the buyer will tell us, (ENV 1,000-2,000) (Image)
