Back of the Book Collection. Numerous first, second, and third Federal general revenue issues with slight duplication, even some imperfs with good margins, complete set of those delightfully pastel Potato stamps plus extras, numerous Post Office Department seals (mostly mint), tobacco revenues, luxury merchandise importation coupons, used U.S. Customs Entry labels, and numerous state revenues, New York, California, and Washington being among the more prominent. There are used and mint vehicle tax stamps in unusually sound condition, used federal oleomargarine revenues, international mail response coupons, newspaper and periodical issues, and a solid representation of War Department and Treasury Department officials (mint, mint no gum, used, and extras). A key item is Scott #RB8b canceled Aug. 27, 1880, which despite its two minor faults is still a very attractive issue. All-in-all, a lot loaded with possibility for the collector and dealer alike; owner’s 2020 Scott catalog value of over $7,400, with most minimal value items not counted.
