The Bureau of Engraving and Printing printed the 1¢ Perf 10 postage due stamps on unwatermarked paper for only a short time. Well-centered original-gum examples are exceedingly rare. This copy, with lightly hinged original gum, outstanding centering and fresh color is a condition rarity of the highest order. This is the highest grade awarded by both the P.S.E.
