Envelope including original enclosure from Baltimore to Freiwaldau (Austrian Empire, in modern day Czech Republic), paying the inland rate with 1847 5c red brown, double transfer (type B), pos. 90R1, exhibiting the variety at top and bottom frame lines, a striking marginal example from the right of the sheet, just touched the frame line at top left, cancelled by pen crosses and tied by red "5" hs in selvedge, struck with blue cds on dispatch at left, carried by the Cunard SS "Canada" to Liverpool, with London transit on back, showing "1/4" debited to Prussia and "44" Kr CM (38kr including 6kr inland fee) debit to Austria, both in ms on front, with framed "AMERICA per ENGLAND" hs in red from Aachen; nine covers are recorded to Silesia in the USPS census, this being unique with a double transfer variety; cert.
