U.S. LOCALS, CARRIERS, TELEGRAPH COLLECTION, includes several hundred mixed mint and used singles and some multiples, mounted in a Scott album, the overall condition is mixed and faults are to be expected, certainly there are many fakes and forgeries, we endeavored to only include in the listed catalog value those items we were comfortable with as to authenticity, there are surely some good stamps here which were not figured, wonderful variety and plenty to look through, there are some items with values in the $50-100 range, the Locals and Carriers catalog ($800), Confederate stamps ($590) and the Telegraphs ($820), there is also a nice section of Western Air Letters, we estimate there are over 500 items in the "fakes and forgeries" group so there is also plenty of reference material here, a pretty decent lot for the specialist in this area, well worth careful consideration (Image)
