image THE GREGORY WALDECKER NATIONAL PARKS AND FARLEY AREA FDC COLLECTION, includes several hundred, perhaps (500), mostly different FDC's from the National Parks and Farley area, virtually all are housed in poly sleaves, sorted by issue and then denomination, there appears to be about 35 sets of various cachets of the 740-49 perforated set, we noticed some duplication (2) of some cachets but certainly a nice variety with some better included, retail values on these are generally in the $15-25 range with some up to $50 each, there is about ten sets of the imperfs issue with most being different, about 50 various #750 with singles, pairs, gutter pairs, and blocks, good variety of cachets with some duplication (2-3) of some, about 40 various #751 with singles, pairs, gutter pairs, and blocks, good variety of cachets with some duplication (2-3) of some, (10) different #751 S/S's on cacheted covers, (4) different #750 S/S's on cacheted covers, (13) various large sized covers with various issues with cachets, (4) large covers with complete sets three perf one imperf, a set of Farley gutter pairs on large sized cover, and (17) of #771 with mostly different cachets, the overall condition of this collection is really pretty clean but there are some faults to be expected, there are some hand painted covers included along with some of the better cachets mixed in, the catalog value listed is our estimate using Mellone but it is quite likely low given some of the better covers here, certainly the best Parks and Farley FDC collection we have offered in quite some time, well worth a good look and careful consideration but the specialist in this area (Image)

image EARLY FIRST DAY COVER ACCUMULATION 1930-45, includes about 750 various covers, virtually all are in poly sleeves, mostly addressed, most of the value here is in the various cachets many of which catalog in the $20-50 range each with most being over $10 in Mellone, the overall condition is pretty clean but some scattered faults are to be expected, very strong in the Farleys with the exception of the Parks which is elsewhere in this section, there is a huge amount of total catalog value here and certainly a very important lot for the specialist in this area, (ENV 1,000-1,500) (Image)
