image 1916, 1¢ green, unwatermarked, "Boy Scout" coil. "New York, N.Y." precancel as always, wide margins; lightly toned, Fine and very rare, with 2001 P.F. certificate.

This stamp was used by the Boy Scouts of America executive council for a mailing in 1922. The stamps are from the 1916 issue and were probably from an imperforate sheet privately perforated 14, rolled and applied by an unknown machine.

Jun 23, 1917" duplex on special delivery cover to Detroit, Mich., purple "Special Delivery" straightline, Jun. 24th arrival backstamp; coils lifted and hinged in place to check watermark, right coil with tear and crease, pairs with s.e. at right, a Very Fine use, ex-Siskin, with 1966 and 2000 P.F. certificates.
