Cat No: 209-E8 var., 209P2
1881, 10¢ Jefferson, A.B.N.C. essay, in green (Scott 209-E8 var., 209P2), similar to the issued design except shading lines in the eye are unfinished, imperf, also a "Roosevelt" small die proof, Very Fine. The small die proof in brown catalogs $200 and is boring. The really interesting part of this lot is the progressive essay in green, which is previously unlisted. A nice lot for the specialist.
