image 1870, 3¢ green, grilled, imperf proof on stamp paper, N.B.N.C. printing (Scott 136P5), a choice horizontal pair with bright color and large, beautifully balanced margins, o.g., never hinged (!), insignificant, nearly invisible natural paper inclusion at the left edge of the right stamp (mentioned on the accompanying certificate), Extremely Fine. Very rare, especially in this exceptional quality, with a 1986 P.F. certificate as former Scott number 136b.
