United Nations, Archive of Proofs, Essays & Artist Drawings, 1951-88, Absolutely incredible offering of rare U.N. material with almost all existing in extremely low quantities, and some of which are actually unique. Over 120 items with a few proofs listed in Scott but mostly off the books and the vast majority obtained from the original philatelic archives in New York approximately 20 years ago. Items like an Inspection Plate Proof Imperforate Gutter Block of 14 of #37, two Trial Color Die Proofs of #10 printed on gummed paper and mounted on card, or how about a set of preliminary sketches for the Technical Assistance issue of 1953 signed by renowned artist and stamp designer Jean Van Noten. This lot is beyond description and we urge everyone to have a look at the images we uploaded. For the U.N. collector who simply has everything, or should I say, "who think they have everything!", originally purchased by the owner in the UN Archive Sale at a multiple of the estimate presented here, generally Fine to Very Fine.
