1863 Pattern Dime J-325 (Pollock-390) PGCS PR64 (OGH) considered Rarity-6. Struck in silver w/ plain edge. "Exchanged for US Notes" indicates that this issue was to be exchanged for US Postal Currency which was issued in 1863 as well as a result of the virtual elimination of metallic forms of legal tender money in the first two years of the Civil War.
