Clear to large margins, pencil "X" canceled (impression effectively tying though to cover) on 1851 folded letter to the editor of the New York Herald in New York, in combination with full margin 1847, 5¢ red brown tied by blue smudge cancel, matching "Philada., Pa., 5 cts, Mar 30" cds, with anonymous letter containing a newspaper clipping written by the Philadelphia Female Anti-Slavery Society and sent…"hoping that you will give these infatuated women their deserts", Extremely Fine, ex-Gibson & Meyersburg, illustrated in Chronicle 152, p. 232, with 1997 P.F. certificate.
