Essay. 1d. in bright red, the head printed, the remainder handpainted with value, lettering and other minor portions highlighted in Chinese white and with simulated perforations in pencil, inset on thick card (88x117mm.) handstamped on reverse "specimen from "harrison & sons ltd./Printers St. Martins Lane W.C.2" and in manuscript "Jamaica 5662".
