Scott 3L68), canceled by "Tientsin" bilingual dotted rim datestamp, over which "Victoria/Hong Kong" 80c meter mark (Dec. 19) has been applied, the People's Post $300 surcharged stamp paid the correct domestic postage (the $300 rate in effect from Nov. 25) and the meter mark paid the airmail rate from Hong Kong to a British Commonwealth country, with "Bournemouth/2" duplex on reverse for redirection within England to Westerham, Kent, cover a trifle ragged at top right corner not affecting stamps or postal markings, Fine to Very Fine. Scott 3L53), uncanceled, and Hong Kong U.P.U. 75th Anniv. 80c bright reddish purple, both stamps tied by "Hong Kong" c.d.s. (Nov. 17), the cover carried privately to Hong Kong by the sender, Jardine Engineering Corp., having been franked with the People's Post $100 surcharged stamp anticipating the $70 domestic postage (the $70 rate in effect from Oct. 1-Nov. 24, there being no airmail) and the Hong Kong stamp paying the 80c airmail rate from Hong Kong to a British Commonwealth country, with "Bournemouth/2" duplex on reverse for redirection within England to Westerham, Kent, Fine to Very Fine.
