(very fine) and the other, older one is "Multipost No. T / Patented / AUG 8 and DEC19, 1911, etc. Multipost Corp. Rochester, N.Y." appears to be functional but has one broken part that we can see. image Antique Cast Iron and Brass Post Office Balance Counter Scale, circa late 1800s to early 1900s, featuring the Canada Post Office ("Canada P.O.") marking in relief on the base. The body is cast iron with one solid brass beam and iron sliding weight. One tray is made of cast iron while the other one is curved and made of copper, hinting that its primary function was to weigh newspapers. Scale is showing signs of wear, with what appears to be original paint, though missing in spots and with some oxidation. Great addition for the postal artifact collector, or to decorate a stamp den.
