Picture Postcards

Sale No: 38
Lot No: 1153
Symbol: PC
Cat No: Collection

image Collection of Over 300 Postcards, Early 1900s to 1960s, with a range of subject matter including Austrian-Hungarian royalty, Canada's Banff Park, Florida tourism, London Bridge (plus other British cities and towns), very colourful flamingos and other birds, sports, transportation and a good number of "adult humour" and some socially-objectionable items. We note a large number of cards depicting action in this eclectic and very interesting mix of cards: illustrations, colourized photos, sepia prints, early lithography and modern photography. This lot is very clean and fine or better and would be hard to assemble in such a large group - a lot of fun for a collector with good resale potential for a dealer. See online photos for a small sampling of the contents. (Image)
