image Consignment Remainders of Used British Commonwealth and Worldwide Stamps, consisting of many hundreds of stamps, from various collections, on album pages. We estimate roughly half of the material is British Commonwealth, ranging from the Victorian Reign up to early Elizabethan. We note Ceylon, South Africa, Sarawak, to name a few, with particular strength in Great Britain with 12 pages of Victorian issues, including Scott #58 (x20, missing plate 9, total c.v. $829), with a selection of Penny Reds, and a page of Jubilee issues with owner's catalogue value of $1,450, along with Sierra Leone #34-43 (c.v. $124), and Tasmania #93 (c.v. $45). The worldwide stamps tended to have more modern material, mainly from Austria, ranging from the 1950s onward. The lot continues with a stock book of mint and used Italy, roughly 300 stamps (includes some colonies), and roughly 30 worldwide first day covers. We note a few mint stamps intertwined with used stamps on album pages. Online scans shows a representation of the lot. Overall, fine to very fine. (Image)

image Collection / Accumulation of Used North Borneo and Malay States, consisting of several hundreds of stamps on several Vario-style and quadrille pages. We note half the accumulation is North Borneo, ranging from 1886 to 1961, with particular strength from 1894 to 1922. A spot check showed the majority of stamps cataloguing between $1 and $3, with some cataloguing over $10 (many with town postmarks). The lot continues with pages of Straits Settlements including high values with Scott #166d and #167d (with probable revenue postmarks). The lot concludes with pages of Malay States, with roughly 100 stamps, primarily from the 1900s to 1920s, including: Kedah, Johore, Perak, etc. We note a number of C.T.O. postmarks in the North Borneo, along with a good number of c.d.s. postmarks (including a few sock on the nose). A good lot for the specialist, and we suggest in-person viewing to better appreciate the contents, as our online photos only show a representation. Overall, fine to very fine. (Image)

These albums contain a few thousand stamps in total, with material from the original owner's time as well as material appropriate to the period of the albums added somewhat recently. We noted better material from Bavaria and Denmark, along with lower cataloguing, more exotic material from places like some of the French Colonies, Colombia and Nyassa. image Collection Remainders of Mint and Used Including Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Scandinavia and USA, with thousands of stamps in three high-quality Lindner hingeless albums in slipcases, two 64-page black stock books, a file folder of sheets and larger multiples, and two large, clear bags. The Papua New Guinea album runs from 1952 to 1988 with a good level of completion of never hinged sets in the period, usually missing only the highest denominations of sets. The two Singapore albums run from to 1948 to 1982 (this one has no stamps) and 1983 to 1993 (this one appears to be complete in the period and never hinged) plus a group of mint booklets. The Scandinavian album is sparsely filled but useful and the two stockbooks are full of "J to M" countries. The USA consists of several sheets (10c to 29c) and Celebrate the Century packets (32c x4 and 33c x10, with some duplication) and loose postage with face value of just over US$115. The bags contain a range of worldwide countries (British Commonwealth, Russia, Germany, GB, Romania, Hungary, Vatican, etc.) with a lot of topical interest, and both mint and used, in complete mint booklets, 102 cards and loose in clear bags. We noted a few FDCs and commercial covers as well. Also included are three never-used, vintage Shaubek albums in slipcases. This clean lot would be a fun way to start a new collecting area, or fill gaps in an existing collection. Our online photos provide an overview, best viewed in advance to appreciate the contents. image Huge Mint and Used Collection in 11 Thick Albums, containing stamps from classics to the 1980s. This large collection was assembled with passion, where the collecting budget was clearly put into the stamps themselves, rather than the albums. The albums being a rag-tag mix of Harris, Scott, Unitrade and Whitman and, for the most part appearing rather well-worn on the outside. These older albums have done their job in preserving the stamps, though, with spot testing showing no stamps with gum being stuck-down. This collection must have been assembled by a contrarian collector, as we noted the bulk of the material to be from more esoteric collecting areas, such as French, Italian and Portuguese Colonies, Latin America and places like Azerbaijan and Tannu Tuva. There are fairly respectable individual collections for Chile, Ethiopia, Nicaragua and Russia, among others. Throughout the greater collection are things like stock pages, 102 cards and selection cards tucked in, some of which have never hinged stamps. We estimate there to be more than 15,000 stamps in all in this collection with a correspondingly respectable total catalogue value, this largely owing to the level of completion among certain countries in the classic period. Overall fine to very fine. (Image)
