Extensive Used Collection of About 800 Stamps from German States, on computer generated and homemade pages. This collection includes a number of fine and very fine stamps such as Baden Scott 16 (c.v. $235) and 24 (c.v. $575), Bavaria 3 (c.v. $240), Brunswick 5 (c.v. $325), 16 (c.v. $145) and 18 (c.v. $525), Hanover 26 (c.v. $275) Württemberg 23 (c.v. $275) and 39b (c.v.$190) to name a few. Many other higher priced stamps are also present but show defects. Extras such as pairs, strips and blocks, perfins, stationery cut squares, railroad stamps and local carrier stamps are also present. A few Allenstein, Schleswig and Upper Silesia stamps round up this collection. We could not verify owner’s identification of some stamps due to strong hinges. Generally fine to very fine, faults mostly limited to the above mentioned higher value items. (Image)

Mint and Used Collection and Accumulation of old German States, on stock pages. This lot includes an extensive Bavaria, in which we noted Scott 7 used (c.v. $140), used set 256-275 ($190) and a group of 91 stamps from Scott 2 to 13 collected for their clear, mostly numerical, cancels. We also noted Brunswick used 5 (c.v. $325), 3 used copies of Hannover 18 (c.v. $600) and two used Prussia Scott 10 (c.v. $320). Also noted 4 Bavarian "retour" stamps and a group of 12 mint Bavarian Railway parcel stamps. Possibly more finds are to be made in this not well organized lot. Faults here and there, as can be expected from such an old lot, otherwise fine to very fine. (Image)

Bergedorf, Heligoland and Wurttemberg are also well represented. Some French occupation of Germany and plebiscite areas are also included.
