EXTENSIVE ITALY AND COLONIES COLLECTION, several thousand mostly different mint and used singles, sets, and many covers hinged and mounted in two Scott Speciality albums, there are many issues with mint and used examples of each, the collection runs to about 1983 and includes a strong B.O.B. section and a nice run of colonies, the overall condition is mixed and there are faults to be expected, most of the early mint is hinged, some of the better stamps here are: 26-27*, 29*, 31*, 34*, 35*, 46-48*, 51, 57, 72, 78-79*, 81*, 83*, 85*, 117-18*, 142A-D, 165-70(cancels appear to be okay), 171-74, 248-56*, 280-89*, 324-28*, 345-48*, 349-54*, 495-506*, B17-19, 26-29, C5, 7, 11, 23-26*, 48, J2*, 11*, 13*, 15*, Aegean Islands - Rhodes 15-23*, 29-37*, also seven "Saggio" specimen overprints on the 1863 issue, certainly one of the best Italy collections we have offered in quite some time, this collection is loaded with speciality items and obviously a huge amount of catalog value, check out the scans on the web or for a real treat view this lot in person to really get a good handle of the value of this impressive collection (Image)
