image Great Britain, "The Revolution Has Been Cancelled!" Extraordinary Collection of Cancels, 1841-1940, An absolutely mind-blowing collection of numeral cancels in two volumes, one for London and the other for the rest of the United Kingdom, all of it organized in numerical order and identified by Scott number as well as plate number when applicable. And these are not merely Penny Reds, although there are many 100's of those, but a wide range of higher value stamps, many of which are in generous duplication. Better include #3-4, 27-28, 32, 34, 42, 43, 45, 48, 49-50, 53-55, 59-60, 61-62, 64, 66-68, 70, 84, 87, 96, 98-105, 108-09, 111-22, 126, 140-41, O27, etc. And the collector didn't just simply mount what they had but very neatly prepared a space for, what appears to be, all possible numeral cancels providing the heir of this collection the ability to expand upon and take it to the next level. Additional sections for ship & railway cancels, letters going abroad, foreign stamps with British cancels, and 17 pages of perfins arranged alphabetically. And there's still more with 1000's of #33 organized by plate number and a binder with platings of #3, 20 (complete), 33 plate 79 (missing only one), and 82. image Great Britain, "Head Hunter" Highly Specialised Machin Head Collection, 1967-99, Since the stamp's debut in 1967, the sculpted profile of QEII, Britain's longest-reigning monarch, has been printed over 200 billion times making it quite simply the most reproduced piece of art in the history of the world. Despite these high numbers, some are actually quite scarce as specialists collect a wide range of varieties far beyond the colours and perforations including printing methods, types, gum & phosphor varieties, etc. This lovely homemade collection on quadrille pages has stamps ranging from the 10½p to 20p, each in a black mount and meticulously identified along with catalogue number referencing the Deegam Handbook. As a bonus, a collection of FDCs for the pre-decimal Machins including the "Stamps for Cooks" booklet along with various se-tenant combinations. You can see it all online by clicking on the link, Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 7 lbs. (Video for this lot) (Video2 for this lot) (Video3 for this lot) (Image)
