image Anguilla, Stellar Mostly Mint Collection with Varieties, 1967-2015, Collectors of British Commonwealth, listen up! You are unlikely to see an Anguilla collection of this magnitude again; with the exception of the first issue, a seemingly complete mint run all the way to 2015 in three like-new, hingeless Palo albums with slipcases. And not just the stamps listed in Scott, but many others only found in Stanley Gibbons, such as overprint varieties; inverts like SG #346a & 573a, double overprints like SG #325a, or even omitted letters, like SG #325b-30a. And then there's stuff not even listed in Gibbons! Numerous gutter pairs throughout, 568a imperf, imperf pairs of 448-51, etc. There's also an incredible selection of the first issue used with most in duplication; there's 1-11, 10 (block of four), 15, and the two values with inverted watermark (SG #4w & 11w). Also present is a nearly complete mint set of 229-46 with second "o" italicized as footnoted in Scott (only missing 231). Plenty more, like miniature sheets of 547-55, 559-67, 932a, 968, booklets and blocks of four. Don't let this one slip away! Fine to Very Fine, one volume viewable online. Dealers Stock

Sale No: 771
Lot No: 1972
Symbol:
Cat No: Collection

Worldwide, A Truly Massive A-Z, Mainly Mint N.H. Well Organized Dealers Stock, 1920's-1990's. All housed in 56 large red boxes with 250 to 400 large size glassines, on average, in each box this is a perfect holding for online sales or to even jump start a stamp business. About 85% is mint N.H. with some earlier material L.H. and some better sets mint + used, This quality conscious dealer's family was buying new issues from the late 1920's up to 2000 and much is in blocks or even some folded sheets are to be found. Usually in most stocks you have off-quality 19th century, not in this exceptional inventory. The only 19th is a small part of the Netherlands, and it appears that is all unless we missed something. France was a favorite country and four boxes reflect that as well. We couldn't possibly catalogue the entire stock but we did put pen to paper and the France has a Scott value of over $48,000 alone, consider France the strongest country and then recall that there are 52 more boxes crammed with salable material. As we reviewed this balance fairly quickly our notes are random and not in country order. Certainly we also missed many highlights and space nor time was available to list all. The stock is primarily comprised of sets and singles as issued plus souvenir sheets, prices range from Scott's minimum up to about $100 or so. The sweet spot is in the $10 to $50 range where value adds up quickly and quantities are generally 5 to 50 but can run higher even on better issues. A few highlights in the France are all Scott numbers and values: 349 (8) $232. N.H., 396 (16) N.H. $256., 575 (60) N.H. $600., 590 (98) N.H. $343., 671-672 (100) N.H. $240., 673-674 (30) $255., 757-762 (17) $162., 801-804 (13) $201., B18 (8) L.H. $260., B68-B69 N.H. + L.H. image Great Britain, Glorious Mint & Used Collection in Stockbooks, 1840-2017, In three Lighthouse stockbooks, a mouthwatering array of classics, which already by 1883 turns into a parallel collection of both mint & used side by side. Come 1976 it's entirely mint all the way up to 2017. Some of the better used include the following… #1-2, 5-7, 22, 26-28, 37-42, 44-46, 52-55, 57, 59-60, 74-75, 78-87, 90, 93, 95, 96, 98-107, 108-10, 111-22, 124, 126, 127-42, 173-76, 178,81, 222-24. No, I didn't mistype; the £5 Orange is here, as are other stamps cataloging over $1,000 each. Some very impressive mint too, like 98-107, 111-22, 127-38, 209, 249-51A, 309-12 and the huge amount of modern face. And have a close look at the scans, because you will notice a great many varieties included by the collector, such as various plate numbers, and color and printing varieties. Note that the numbers you see in the scans refer to the SG catalogue. Condition varies a bit, but generally Fine to Very Fine and much better than what we usually see for the 19th century.
